Some folk are almost impossible to place in any one categiory: Hamish Henderson was one such. I met him once at Sandy Bell's in Edinburgh, and I'm glas I did. For those who have never heard of him, he was; Pacifist, but war hero. Scots nationalist but internationalist; Fluent in six languages and founder of the School of Scottish Studies, Edinburgh University, Renowned Scholar, son of a single mother and probably a gypsy father; Collector of folk songs Radical ;Poet: Songwriter... ...and troublemaker.
