Hi everyone,
Here is a BBC video on certain myths about happiness.
https://www.bbc.com/reel/video/p070zpn8/is-happy-ever-after-just-a-myth-
Apparently...its not any of these things...
'money...status...falling in love...marriage...having children...'
What do you think...?

I couldn't get the link to work.
The things that make me content are:-
My wonderful family :)
My hobbies
My Kindle
Trying to help others, whenever I can.

Perhaps this link will work:- https://www.bbc.com/reel/video/p070zpn8/is-happy-ever-after-just-a-myth-
Sririam, the guy doesn't actually say very much that hasn't been said before. Happiness is relative and experiences are unique to each of us. Nobody can be happy all of the time but we can be content.

I too think content is a better word to use.

It's crushing other folks' nuts that's likely to get you into trouble.

What makes us happy??
An opportunity to rant at people who use unnecessary question marks.

Motorcycles: I can't believe the guy in the link never mentioned motorcycles.
Every home should have one!

Usually each struggle or challenge makes me temporarily unhappy and overcoming (or abandoning if I can't figure out a way to overcome it) each struggle or challenge makes me temporarily happy.
Not sure that challenges such as serious threats of immediate dangerous levels of violence, long-term hunger and thirst that can't be alleviated, major physical or mental ill health, homelessness, no friends or family to talk to, debt that I have no prospect of settling can be classed as leading to happiness. But then again, having never experienced the latter 5 examples I can only go by what people who have experienced this stuff say and some people view those experiences in a positive light.
Being punched in the stomach and not being winded or hurt makes me happy - it means the past kick-boxing and gym sessions have not been wasted. Finishing Minutes and Newsletters makes me happy. An amazing view and the sun shining makes me really happy. Learning how to do something I could not do before or learning new useful information makes me really happy.

Parrots. There are 000s in my area of London, so I am often happy.

Had three Sunbeam S sevens and a Triumph Thunderbird and had a Honda 90 runabout over a period of time as a young man and I think you'll find unless anyone has had that pleasure of solo road biking there's very little understanding of the experience; their loss.
Cars out of necessity and bikes for pleasure, even though it's more dangerous than driving a car.
