Of course

He must be so far up his own arse he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut !

I don't condone his action - but I have friends who have each lost all their chickens to predatory foxes.
Does anyone recall the - now departed - member who effectively opened a soup kitchen to urban foxes?

Clubbing the animal to death was rather cruel, far better to shoot it if it was attacking his chickens.

He lives in London in the UK, he probably doesn't own a gun.

Quite. What is it about Twitter that causes people to broadcast all the stuff they should keep quiet about?
Clubbing the fox was one thing and, perhaps, all he could do in the circumstances (I'm guessing because I wasn't there), but, surely he should have realised that telling the world was a bad idea.

I agree 100% jeremy, the man must have a death wish to go public.
Also agree he probably didn't have a gun but I would have thought he could have shooshed the fox out of the way somehow, brandishing a broom and shouting. Foxes run when people come on the scene. He'll have to reinforce his chicken fence because where there's one fox, there will be a few more.

Does the article not say that the fox was trapped in netting and couldn't run away?
-
Yes it does, I'm think he could've released it but maybe not. He does say it wasn't much fun killing the fox so perhaps he had no choice, we weren't there. He was daft to post it on social media though, seemed to make more ofa point of wearing wife's satin kimono.

If done efficiently, it'd be instant.
