Which great films from the past would be disqualified from the Oscars under the new rules...

The first Best Picture winner, Wings would have to go. I suspect there will be fewer that can stay than would have to go. I can't think of one until Gone With the Wind in 1939 that would qualify.

There are moves afoot to get rid of gendered awards (e.g. Best Actor/Best Actress). It seems to me that all that'll do is make it twice as hard for anyone to win an award. Change the titles to "Best Male Actor/Female Actor", maybe.

Sorry, Gone with the Wind has been cancelled due to its "problematic portrayal of blacks".
