Title: Benenden headmistress apologises for ‘offensive’ word
Post by: Nearly Sane on October 26, 2020, 09:20:36 AM
Apologies if anyone can't access because of paywall but the apology in the article is for stating that Black History Month was originally called Negro History Month and using the word negro to say that to show how things have changed. This seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I agree about it being quite reasonable, but things like this are being jumped on and I hope the trend soon ends.

Her statement seems to be true so why deny it?
