Title: Dominic Cummings to leave Downing Street by Christmas
Post by: Nearly Sane on November 13, 2020, 09:23:48 AM

This seems more about personality rather than any sign of a change in a inept corrupt govt.

I’m thinking... why would Cummings let himself be humiliated like that?

‘How do we turn this around, Dom? Carrie?’

‘I’ll take the fall Al. Give me that cardboard box...’

This is pantomime. January is coming.

Something which I have seen somewhere else:

Johnson wants to have been prime minister he does not want to be prime minister. In other words, he is concerned about being remembered (hence the public use of his exotic second name rather than his bland first name). However, to have been prime minister he must occupy the post and perform its duties.

Other than self-promotion, Johnson has no particular objectives and so gathers about him a group of advisors with strong, disruptive, views about the nature of government. He considers that these people will ensure his name will be associated with a memorable administration. However, he eventually realises that their actions will result in a very unfavourable assessment of his occupancy of the office he had desired. So they must go.

He must be looking forward to the day when he can go back to behaving likea bufoon in public and making babies in private.

According to some reports - how reliable they are is difficult to judge - it would appear that Cummings was ousted ... and replaced ... by someone called Carrie Symonds.  :-\
