And urchins are so hard to find these days too, since they closed the workhouses: merry xmas everyone.

Bit late I know but Merry Christmas all.

No goose here but had a roast duck made by the kids and husband. I did peripheral stuff and some washing up as had been up all night trying to finish some work so was too tired to figure out a duck. Hope you all had a good Christmas.

Yes.  I am a fan of Jim Reeves from my childhood days. I just love his deep baritone.  Silent Night is also one of my favourites.

I don't want to spoil things but Jim Reeves was a terrible racist.

Yep.
He recorded an album in Afrikaans, toured South Africa, and would not meet any black person.
Back home, he refused to perform with Harry Belafonte.
He has a wonderful voice, though, and was my mum's favourate.
