Interesting decision.

Bloody disgraceful decision. JA is a narcissistic psychopath and alleged sexual abuser. Why shouldn't he face trial?

Assange is an extremely unpleasant person, but if he is mentally ill the British justice system won't let him be extradited. I doubt he would get a fair trial in the US the way things are at present.

The sexual abuse case is not what the extradition is based on so is irrelevant here. There is not a crime of being a narcissistic psychopath.

It's not illegal to be a narcissistic psychopath and Sweden has cancelled its arrest warrant. If Assange is a suicide risk he can't be sent to the USA no matter how unpleasant he is.

I don't like him one bit but don't want him to go to the USA for trial - for what? Nobody has died as a result of wikileaks* (as far as I know), & see no point in him being in clink for endless years. He'll be treated more fairly here.
As Jeremy said, he's no longer facing arrest in Sweden. We must separate personal feelings about the sleaseball man from alleged crimes. By their leaks we shall know them!

That is a claim that is disputed. It is possible that US agents have been exposed as a result of the leaks. That doesn't negate the value of the revelations, but Wikileaks should have been more careful about what they published and how they published it.

In my opinion, based on the fact that he ran away, the rape allegations are true.

My personal feelings are that he is probably a rapist. I think he probably isn't guilty of the crimes the USA accuses him of (Chelsea Manning says he didn't help her) but I see no reason to dispute the judge who denied his extradition on the grounds that that the Americans couldn't prevent (or perhaps wouldn't try to prevent) his suicide.

I think you are probably right about the rape issue, jeremy, I find him an unsavoury character from the little I know & generally don't like to think the worst of anyone. Not much we can do about it if he isn't arrested or charged though and has nothing to do with the 'leaks'.
