I can appreciate his pain: I have never 'zoomed' and generally find tablets confusing: I stick like glue to my laptop and its 'proper' keyboard.
I did briefly pick up Mrs G's ipad last weekend to look at something I had been instructed to look at, but there was something else on the screen and I couldn't figure out how to make it go away - my 5 year old grand-daughter rescued me.

I find using zoom not that easy. My sisters and I have a zoom get together once a month, I use my laptop for it. I have an ipad but don't find it easy to use, I dislike touch screens.

Yes, MS Teams did that to my wife in the middle of a conference call.

And of course it would be turning it off and turning it back on again that worked.

Not in our case - when it came back on everything was upside down including the login - had to reset stuff in the display settings.
