Post by: Aruntraveller on June 24, 2021, 12:51:33 PM

I wouldn't term myself pedantic but there are certain things which irritate me, people who say, 'Haitch', instead of, 'aitch', for instance.

A haitch, a hay, two harrs, a hi, a hess, a hoe and hen - spells 'Arrison.

We have discussed this before, I believe, but I would ban from all airwaves anyone who fails to follow the usual English practice of emphasising the first syllable of "harass".
