I had no idea that Hadrian's wall was that far South.

I had no idea that Hadrian's wall was that far South.
Contrary to popular belief, it does not mark the modern boundary between England and Scotland. It is entirely within England. As this map shows, it gets progressively further south of the boundary as you go east, and is a long way south of it on the east coast.
