I think there is another case going on. Somebody who ran after a car and shot the driver dead for stopping in the street outside his house is claiming ''stand your ground'' in Texas.

Part of the problem is that the media in the USA has been pushing a certain narrative. In the moment that Rittenhouse shot those three people, the jury has decided that he feared for his life. The jury has seen all the evidence and we, for the most part, have seen a narrative created by the media.
The facts of the case, rather than the narrative we want to believe always made this a difficult ask for the prosecution.
