Title: Talking Pictures!
Post by: Anchorman on July 29, 2022, 08:37:25 AM
I'm starting to realise my telly only really needs one channel. Talking Pictures TV is a work of genius. There's usually something to captivate me daily; at the moment, I'm enjoying "The Cellar club" strand of movies - usually Hammer or Vincent Price oldies, but none the worse for that. Anyone else hooked? https://talkingpicturestv.co.uk/

Oh yes. There's a discrete subset of posters on here who appreciate that little gem of a TV channel.

I'm a fan too: I love the old British crime films from the 1950's: when men wore coats with broad belts that were nearly always fastened, women invariably wore high-heels and police cars had bells rather that sirens.

Plus almost all the programmes have sub-titles, which for me is essentlal.

Yes - they took me back The one I have yet to see is 'The Baron'. For some reason, I used to prefer that to 'The Saint'....but age means I can't for the life of me remember why.
