Unfortunately, focussing on the NHS and the process of giving birth is not likely targetting the most effective areas. Maternal deaths are strongly linked with poverty (where minority women are disproportionately represented) and in people with poorer educational outcomes (again where minority women are disproportionately represented). There is very little evidence that the NHS is directly treating minority women significantly differently from white women, in childbirth or elsewhere.
