Title: Glasgow history: Calls for Tait's Tower to be rebuilt

Ambivalent on this, Glasgow has so many buildings that are falling into disrepair that 5 million to rebuild something seems a lot.

Interesting following on from my previous comment, this is significant. I was talking about this the other day, and while Michael Kelly managed to energise Glasgow as Lord Provost, it's much harder without a personal mandate like Burnham, and much harder to do so then it was in Kelly's time.

The SNP have given no indications of looking at a mayoral system and have instead created greater centralisation. I would like to see a Glasgow Party.
