I hereby apologise for any actions of any members of my family now or in the past, and any actions of friends, or friends of friends, or their families, and any actions of anyone I have ever met.

Quite - ann expression of regret would be appropriate, but not an apology, which is only appropriate for one's own personal transgressions.

I'm pretty sure there are going to be slaves somewhere in my ancestry - and slave owners. I hereby accept my heartfelt apology to me.
