Title: Braverman to quiz police boss over Met response at Gaza protest
Post by: Nearly Sane on October 23, 2023, 09:00:27 AM
I had thought of posting this on the Israel Hamas thread but the issue is wider. I think the police inaction is understandable. I think Braverman asking for details on it is reasonable. I see no reason why that needs to be known as what is happening except for Braverman playing at politics for personal and party benefit.

It's useful to know what our elected government is doing.

Shouldn't she be careful? I mean words are provocative.

Look at tsunami, swarms and invasions just as a few examples.

I suppose they wouldn't fall under incitement just because they happened to fall casually out of the home secretary's gob.

It is but in this case a day to day matter which should be a phone call, possibly a meeting means she has dumped on the police, ratcheted up division and for whar? Personal kudos.

I think you are failing to factor in one important point and that is that Suella Bravermann is as thick as a lumber yard full of short planks.
