Pleased to know it's going to be reopened, but "we are humbled and proud"? You can be humble or you can be proud, but not both st once. Jack and Tollers must be turning in their graves at such violence to the language.

They aren't humble, they re humbled, which usually means they've taken a massive beating in some sporting event. e.g. "England humbled in the cricket world cup".

Still nonsense. This modern verbal tic of saying how humble you feel when you've been honoured pisses me off somewhat more than somewhat.
