Far better to get Johnson back and have them careen randomly at high speed towards defeat rather than drifting under Sunak... ::)

The problem was, of course, according to Johnson that there was some idiot as PM who appointed Sunak as Chancellor who then allowed him to make lots of useless decisions.

"Drifting to defeat" seems to be an understatement; it looks more like "plummeting to oblivion".

I still think it's an improvement (from the Tory pov) over what would have happened if Johnson had remained in charge.
