Title: Brianna Ghey: Why teenagers who killed her can be named
Post by: Nearly Sane on February 02, 2024, 08:39:16 AM
I don't get the logic here. Knowing the names of the murderers even if you then know some details of their lives isn't going to allow people to avoid anything witj their own childten precisely because it's so unususl.

Following on from the bet nonsense, one has to wonder if Sunak isn't very good at this politics thing.

That said, the idea that discussion of women's sex based rights becomes a no no in the presence of Esther Ghey isn't exactly sensible.

The problem Sunak has her is that in saying Starmer is 'sad and wrong', he's just effectively said that about Brianna's father as well.

'Brianna Ghey's mother Esther says Online Safety Act does not go far enough' - hmm... Not sure it could go as far as she wants and be enforceable in any sense.
