Title: Tory donor's alleged Diane Abbott remarks were racist, says Kemi Badenoch

Interesting that Badenoch has taken this position. The current line of No 10 on this, and previously on Lee Anderson of saying comments are wrong but not why is the politics of pabulum.

ETA - Link has been updated and now Downing St are saying the remarks were racist. They are going to keeo the dobations just to show him. After all why give money back tl a racist.

Racist seems to be the hardest word.

You've got to feel for them stuck between a rock and a hard place.

They want to call out racism without alienating some of their core voters.

Letter from Lib Dems to Risky. Pity about all the "alleged(ly)"s, when we know that Overly-frank Hester did say what's reported, but I think MPs tend to use it as a sort of magic word to protect themselves against any possibility, however remote, of being sued for libel.
