Why?

The implication is that the proper game is too complex for the young people of today and they are too averse to real competition. Knowing some of them, I'm not sure if that is really true.

Apparently, it 'feels a bit like cheating'. Interesting that there is the idea that board games teach you something about life. I would have thoughts that's in some cases part of the problem, in that cooperation is often not the aim in board games.
