He is a very devout bishop - my wife and I have watched many of his sermons.
This video makes a very good point that the perpetrator needed to use violence to get his message across, contrasting with the non violence preached by the bishop.

One positive from this is that the bishop's sermons are now being viewed by a much wider audience after the publicity.
