A friend of mine drew my attention to this app released by the NHS in partnership with the BBC. It's intended as a gentle introduction to running as exercise.
I'm now on week 3 and actually enjoying it. The only problem is that I chose Sarah Milican as my "personal" trainer on the grounds that she would be sympathetic and soothing but I've grown to hate the sound of her voice.

Well done Jeremy for making the effort - if you're already enjoying it maybe you don't need a 'personal trainer'.

The app takes you through a set programme of walking and running. For example, in the first week there was eight lots of running for sixty seconds separated by 90 second walks and you need somebody or something to tell you when to start ands stop running.

Excellent. Couch to kitchen probably my aim at moment.
