He deliberately liked to release songs about contentious subjects. He succeeded with "Me and Mrs Jones", but upset too many people with "Am I Black enough for you?".

Very talented man, died Sunday apparently. He was 81, not bad going.

When I was younger and a tad more innocent, I used to think he and Mrs Jones met for afternoon tea.
