I couldn't even defend the original which was a huge waste of talent and the kernel of a good idea. I know that it is viewed by most as funny and satirical to a point. To me it isn't - it's crushingly obvious and even with the strange charm of Owen Wilson does not in any way redeem itself.
Curmudgeonly this evening - a tad perhaps.
But I did find this funny about Dirty Grandpa:
"The movie is so incredibly consistent in failing to land an honest laugh that about an hour into it, its not being funny becomes laughable."
For a moment I thought they were reviewing The Office.
