Enjoyed the show tonight though it felt like I had aged a couple decades watching it. Very even in general,but I miss Brendan. The whole Anton and the shite dancer thing needs stopped. Hoping that they get voted out first.

It's a shame Anton gets landed so often with the "comedy" act, although I have to admit this year I wasn't aware of who his partner is, so not sure if she fits into that category; she does however fit into the shit dancer category.

As ever, I enjoyed it. Shallow, glitzy but very well done; and I also feel well meaning mass entertainment.  It cheers me up, and there's not many TV shows do that for me anymore.

Loved it too. Anton is past his shelf life though. I hope he's out first too,he didn't do Susannah proud but he has an army of fans who might keep him in. However it was only the first dance so might be different next week.

Great show though.

Another good show tonight. So many really good dances, Faye, Vick, Ashley, to name but three - a few duff ones too.

What Sean lacked in skill he made up for in enthusiasm and comedy, he was hilarious.

Feel desperately sorry for Susannah (but I've had enough of Anton).

I turned it on, but gave up - I can't catch enough of anything to make it worth the effort. All the noise ...... ...I find I prefer more quiet these days!!
Anyway, I turned on Radio 3 and spent an enjoyable time listening to a performance of Holst's The Planets interspersed with excellent short talks by Prof  Brian Cox about each planet 

It was, it seems, to the exact date the 100th anniversary of the first performance of this work.

A lot of people don't believe that the loch ness monster exists. Now, I don't know anything about zooology, biology, geology, herpetology, evolutionary theory, evolutionary biology, marine biology, cryptozoology, palaeontology or archaeology... but I think... what if a dinosaur got into the lake?

I don't watch Strictly as a rule, but I saw it a week or two ago and there was a couple dancing, but I had no idea which one was the celebrity, which, when you think about it is quite impressive.

Anyway, what the hell is happening with Sean Walsh?

I watched it today with my mum (she likes to watch English tv because the tv over here is crap) and I too didn't recognise any of the so-called celebrities. I don't know who the bloody hell they were.

I know who he is (Red Dwarf was brilliant) but I don't remember seeing him. Mind you, I'd had a few bevies.

I watched the first bit of the opening programme of the first 'Celebrity Room 101' a few years ago, as they were introducing them. I was going "Who? Who? Who?". The only one I'd heard of was Jack Dee. The other programme should be renamed "I want to be a celebrity, get me in there!"

Danny is quite good too. My husband was a 'Red Dwarf' fan which he always comments on when Danny is on  ::), he was also a police officer in 'Death in Paradise' which I've never watched and is also commented on every week.

Apart from him, the young blogger chap whose name I've forgotten*, Dr Ranj and Sean Walsh, I knew who everyone was, at least vaguely, on this year's line up.

Do you mean 'Celebrity Big Brother'? That was hilarious - supposed to be a load of A list comics (it was for Comic Relief) but Jack Dee was the only real star on there. Sadly the genre now is an endless circus of reality stars passing from one show to the next and instead of it being a bunch of people who are just pleased to be given air time again it is full of people looking to exploit it. I haven't watched any of those shows for years.
