You missed a trick there. When they go forward, you should do them the morning after. That way you don't lose an hour's sleep.

The three clocks in my bedroom are radio controlled.

Yes we do, there's one coming up on Sunday. There's going to be another in March.
Silly me - I mis-read the post I was replying to. I thought it said "why do we NEED a clock-change...", not "why do we DO...".
Being a collector of mechanical clocks, I have a major job correcting them every Spring and Autumn, but it's only twice a year, and in Autumn I just have to stop them for an hour.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.
