It is so much cheaper to use the landline than my mobile phone, especially if phoning family and friends in Guernsey.

My last BT bill was £64 - for landline and fibre internet connection and a few calls. My Tesco contract is £9 a month with which I get 500 telephone minutes (and 500 texts and 750 mb of data). You have a strange idea of cheapness.

Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

I have a pay as you go mobile phone, as I so rarely use the thing. I much prefer a landline, our latest bill was only £57 and a few pence, which is a pittance, it includes our broadband etc.
