I hope I'd have the nerve to. I did once remonstrate with a drunken thug who was shouting at and verbally threatening an equally drunken young woman, who was crying.
Have you ever made sauerkraut? I regularly make my own, having discovered it in my mid-60s. I'd never eaten it before, but now I always have some home-made available, and love it, the sourer the better.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

I haven't, and my cookery skills are non-existant - I've tried cooking from a recipe but it usually results in a devastated kitchen and confusion regarding multiple ingredients (a teaspoon of this or a tablespoon of that, and what does 'finely sliced' actually mean!). I'm ok with toast and putting cereal in a bowl though.

When wearing shorts and sandals is it persmissible to also wear socks?

If it's not in Leviticus it's permissible.

I don't know. I've never worn sandals and I never will. Never liked them. Shorts I rarely wear. They make me feel half naked and then there's the problem of where to put your wallet, change, keys, phone etc without feeling your shorts are going to fall down from the weight. No! That's no good.

Sourkraut was mentioned earlier which got me thinking, do you like pickled eggs? I love them but I still only eat them quite rarely, usually when I go back to England and I'll one with my fish and chips

Harold says no.

Not keen on pickled eggs.

The Who - could still go and see them now but really would have wanted to see them in their prime.

Tea with milk - milk in first then tea, or tea first then milk. Does it make a difference if you are making tea in a tea pot or just using a tea bag in a single cup?

Milk in first if pouring from a pot. Hot water in first if using a teabag in a cup. Ideally it would be milk in first in all cases, but putting the milk in first in a cup with a teabag stops the water from being hot enough.
