Anyone got any revelations about this appalling woman, promoted as head of BBC music, and apparently behind the proposed demise (now fortunately reversed) of the BBC Singers?
From what I've gathered, she seems almost totally ignorant of classical music, and had heard the BBC Singers the grand total of once.
Described by one critic as being gifted with "unimpeachable ephemerality", it does seem from a quote of her garbled prose that she approves of the short attention span of many modern listeners, and that this is what the BBC should be directing its attention and resources to (not forgetting her 200,000 a year salary).
Is she perhaps a genius, and  her talents are way above my head?
