Train wi-fi at risk as part of cost-cutting move
« on: May 22, 2023, 07:22:09 PM »
Hmmm... Apart from the relative low quality of the wi fi on trains, to the extent that I have on occasion felt overcharged for it, this seems a step backwards.

I had no idea that wi-fi on trains was funded by the DfT.

There's presumably no reason for train operators not to continue funding it themselves if they deem it a good idea. Relative to actually running a train, it's probably not that expensive.
