I'll get to see quite a lot of this as I'm cut off for a total of 7 days with roads being closed.

Might have to watch some of this. Love cycling. Used to compete back in the early 90's at club level.
Peace through superior firepower.

Are you at the velodrome? If you are, enjoy!

No, the road race goes past my flat.

Ah right - enjoy nonetheless. Hopefully a bit drier than God's own county of Essex where it's raining sideways just now.

Men's Road Race at the World Championships. Be interesting to see the crowds.

So environmental protestors disrupted an event involving one of the least polluting modes of transport yet invented?

They would argue that cycling has a lot of greenwashing such as Ineos.

Makes sense I guess, though inspiring others to take up the sport seems like a worthy ambition to me too. Watching it now (having just got back from my bike ride). Looks great even though chucking it down, esp with top Tour riders competing too.

Van Der Poel fell just before where my flat looks out on.

Would appear one protestor was also protesting about men not being able to race in women's races.
