I have resisted revisiting Blake's 7 but it had a campery I enjoyed.

Blake's 7 was quite innovative at the time (for the first few seasons, anyway). I rather enjoyed it; I might just have to get the boxed set now :)

BTW did you know that Vila was the only person that appeared in every episode?!

When Blake's Seven was in its prime, my wife and I went to Stratford to see Twelfth Night. Gareth Thomas played Orsino who stood on an empty stage and declaimed:

If music be the food of love play on


He was a very accomplished actor who was with the RSC for many years.

I can vouch for that, Ilex. We saw him in a series of Shakespeare's history plays when he was with the ESC, performed at the New Theatre Hull. We were lucky enough to be invited backstage when the plays had finished, and I managed to talk to him for a short time. He was an excellent actor and an extremely pleasant person to talk to. My wife also got to meet John Woodvine, whom she admired greatly. For us, it was quite a night to remember.

Incidentally, welcome to the Board. :)

I had a computing catastrophe a few months ago and lost all my password files/information. I was therefore locked out of the forum.

I tried to re-register about three or four times but can only guess that my computer's IP address or something flagged me up as potentially troublesome. So I tried again with a new computer and new identity. Gordon has kindly restored me to my former condition.
