Can I point out that these Dave Allen clips - along with the fantastic Rikki Fulton's 'I.M.Jolly', formed a module of the course in readership of the Church of Scotland? (enjoyable module, dat....)

I never found Dave Allen particularly funny in spite of my Irish connections (I have British and Irish nationality).

TBH I think you would need to be RC (preferably from Eire rather than GB) to fully appreciate Dave. A bit like Citizen Khan for Irish RC's

A bit like the popularity of Father Ted amongst Irish Catholics.  They 'get' it.

Just out of sheer masochistic curiosity on my part - do you find anybody particularly funny?

I hadn't the courage to ask the same thing, Seb! (And you don't have to be a RC to appreciate the genious that was Dave Allen.)
