The logical solution would be to employ a Basque speaking referee? No it's not an insult to a culture, that is IMHO rather OTT, but on this occasion I can see where both sides are coming from (pun intended)!

I hope the football pitch has more than one exit, or there could be a crush as people leave at the end. That's what happens when you put all your Basques in one exit.
