Indeed - but I still loathe Disney and all its works.

!st Scotsman: Whit's the difference between yon Alfred Hitchcock and Walt Disney?
2nd Scotsman: I dinnae ken. Whit is the difference?
1st Scotsman: Alfred Hitchcock maks braw films, but Walt disnae.

I suppose I'd better apologise in advance to any offended Scots.

Well I think you find the death of animators through natural causes funny. An attitude I find the height of evil if not a little Goofy.

Where does Anchorman mention death there?  Oh he doesn't. You might want to retract another incorrect comment?

Anchorman? Who mentioned him? He hasn't posted on this thread.

Accepted.
I think you have been too hasty to forgive a palpable falsity which has no doubt led to the extinction of a number of species......or alternatively has no effect or bearing on anything.

. Steve accepted my apology for thinking that Anchorman had written his post. Kindly explain how that was 'a palpable falsity which has no doubt led to the extinction of a number of species'

Mother elephants for example?

Disney films weren't generally meant for cynical teenagers or adults, little kids often liked them.
I remember seeing some wildlife films made by Disney which were really good, wasn't all animation.

C.S.Lewis once said, and I agree, that a children's book that can only be enjoyed by children is a bad children's book, and the same applies to films and other media.

I'm not so sure about that. There have been films like the Toy Story and X-men series which kids loved but (tho' I've not seen either), I'm pretty sure wouldn't interest me - yet they're quite well regarded.

Going back to the op, Patti Murin has been extremely brave to speak out about her anxiety attacks. People don't realise how crippling they are & so frightening. Her words will give encouragement to lots of people & it is good that Disney are supporting.

A big worry for many people is the possibility of losing opportunities - work, school - which exacerbates the anxiety. There are some who end up not going out of the front door & imagine waking up in the night having one attack after another, you'd end up being afraid to go to sleep.

Didn't realise she was 37! Not that that makes a difference to her problem but I'd imagined her to be much younger.
