My niece is in tonight's 'Vanity Fair'!
« on: September 23, 2018, 11:08:30 PM »
Only just found out - I'll have to watch on ITV's on-line catch-up service, whatever it's called. She's my sister's daughter, and she's called Laura Soper, and is a recent graduate of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, so watch out for her.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

She's 24. Her parents are opera buffs, active as well as passive, being members of York Opera Group, so I suppose that's sort-of related.

Wow you must be proud. :) We haven't watched the programme yet, but may do so.

Indeed I am! Laura's briefly on about 10 minutes in.
