Peter Ustinov recalling an interview with Sir John Gielgud:

"Was there any particular actor who was a significant influence or inspiration in your early years in the theatre?"

Gielgud:
"Ah yes, I remember in particular a very wonderful actor who was a great inspiration to me: Claude Rains. I don't quite know what happened to him....I think he failed
