Francis King: The Nick of Time
« on: March 05, 2023, 05:33:43 PM »
Interesting article on the author Francis King and his book The Nick of Time which was nominated for the Booker. I've tead this and liked it though it's not available on Kindle currently. I liked it but not as much as Art of Darkness which is one of only 2 other books by him I've read, with Voices in AN Empty Room. I hadn't appreciated how long his career had been or known anything of his life story.

I've found him a very fine essayist and critic. I've only tried one of his novels. I thought he wrote like a prurient maiden aunt.
