I have mixed feelings. I think the voters have every right to know when an M(S)P is in parliament but I don't think detailed swipe card records should be part of that. There certainly should be records of when they are in debates or committees but we don't need to know when they took lunch or for how long.

Surely MPS (and MP) attendance records should be a matter of public record - you shouldn't need to ask the individual to find out.

I mean in the lowly world of the school governor, meeting minutes (including attendance) are public documents, as is the School's AGM document which includes the number of meetings attended (out of a possible total) for all governors.
