Vlad, in the OP post, has stated:

Quote

Good old Ippy and his ''If me and blokes like me find something boring then everybody should......'' schtick.

Could the ladies and gentlemen of this Forum please cast their votes as to whether they consider Vlad and his interniable -isms to be TERMINABLY boring?

Well sometimes he is - and sometimes he isn't.

I may have mentioned this before - that although I disagree with his various "philosphical materialism" ramblings - disagree being the wrong word (don't know what the heck he's mumbling about comes closer to it). I do find him on some ocassions genuinely funny.

I vote on the fence!

Agreed, but you have to plough through a lot of -isms to find the humour.

I suppose that will depend upon which side he considers you to be on that time of any particular post.

So far he has one pro, one con, and one neutral, I fully expect him to see this as putting him 2-1 in front! Whereas I see it as a 1-1 draw.

Ah but his sense of humour was not supposed to be the matter under discussion but his interminable -isms.

Well I prefer to view people in a more holistic sense - which is I suppose ironic as Vlad appears to latch onto Atheist and not progress any further when looking at other posters :P

Don't bother reading many of his posts, but we'd be poorer without him.

Maybe this is because they are more polite than !?

You only have to look at pages 15 and 16 of the "WHAT makes a person saved in Christ Jesus?" to see what a crashing bore you really are!

If you carry on in the same vein there is a possibility that by rotating in ever-decreasing circles at ever-increasing speeds you will disappear down your own throat in a shower of orange pips.

I do not see how you can justify the second part of your post in view of the first part.

Well, without him, you couldn't have started as amusing a thread as this, Owl.

You didn't note that in your OP, Owl.  You can't go shifting the goalposts mid-match.   ;)

I am not! I am merely stating that my point on Vlad, which this thread is about, applies equally, as far as I am concerned, to the other three, which it is not!

But then, of course, the same point could apply to you.

Vlad is a very subtle, deep undercover promo/front man for "Our Lord O Richard of the Dawkins", does dicky do carpentry too?

Vlad has to be related to Sam Harris, there's no other explanation.

He is just annoying in the way he never really explains himself, just vague statements and then he runs off. Not sure where he hides but I can't find him.

I am not sure about this type of thread but I will take the opportunity to say that despite my many disagreements, annoyances, and despair about Vlad, I rarely find him boring and find him an adornment to the board, even if that is sometimes as a gargoyle is an adornment to a cathedral.

It is amazing - this is the first thread where I have seen no-one de-railing it and have got answers that make sense - something which the subject of the thread rarely does!
