Six degrees of jakswan
« on: September 27, 2016, 04:36:06 PM »
Noted enki's post on the Admin Announcements thread about the regular get together he goes to, and it triggered me wondering what is the actual structure of linkages of who has met who IRL.

I regularly see Gordon and Gonnagle, with King Oberon (sadly quiet) as an occasional attendee. I've also met L..A. and FastFlint (much missed, stayed with me and my at that time mythical wife). Also met wigginhall a couple of lively evenings.

Hi Nearly,

We meet up with Horsethorn and Grantus Maximus, plus their wives, every few months. All six of us seemed to hit it off, right from the word go, and so has it continued...

Dear enki,

Horsethorn and Grantus, that sounds brilliant, if they are as great as our meetings, I quite like the fact I can quiz Sane and Gordon about stuff they post on the forum face to face, put a pint in front of old Sane and he kind of starts to make sense, no really!! it's magic :P

If and when you do meet those two highly respected posters again, tell them I would love one day to sit and have a pint with them, me Sane and Gordon have discussed trying to put something like that together, one day! one day ;)

Aye!! Jakswan, your the man ;)

Gonnagle.

I'm not making sense for anyone for just one pint!

Nor am I?(and it's usually Black Sheep, or Tetley's smoothflow, by the way).

To Gonners,

I think we'd all love to meet you all, I think we'd get on like a house on fire.
The problem is the distance(we're in East Yorkshire) and if we don't make it soon, passports will be needed. ;)

The science forum group organised some interesting outings, didn't they? I wonder if you still keep in touch with members there?

I had hoped to see NS, Gordon and Gonnagle when I did my day trip to Edin burgh last year, but it didn't work out.
