Jill Saward - RIP
« on: January 05, 2017, 08:57:18 PM »
I remember the event and the outcry surrounding it, especially as I knew Jill's father through my father.  She has been an amazing campaigner for victims of sexual attack.

51 is a remarkably young death these days. But a stroke can take anyone at any time, as I well know.

Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

Totally agree with Hope's post. The courage to act as she did is hugely admirable.
