There's a huge part of it which is based around Bowie and Berlin which was a lot of the soundtrack of my life at the time.

Yeah, 1970s - but I honestly don't remember hearing of that book or film but s'pose I might have. Is the film in German with subtitles? I wasn't a Bowie fan then, he grew on me later on.

Thanks. Never been to Turkey and prob'ly never will now but have always been fascinated by the place. Don't know why I didn't go when I was younger or even a couple of years back when I (with old man) went to Kefalonia in September, just didn't think of it (mind you Kefalonia was fabulous). Both my girls love Turkey. Speaking of which :-) :-
