My sister Kathryn
« on: September 15, 2018, 01:24:15 AM »
Can I ask for prayers for my whole family please.
In June my sister had a stroke. Taken immediately to Macclesfield she was later transferred to Hope Hospital.
Kathryn was walking using a Zimmer frame her face had dropped and her speech impaired and mental alertness.
Very frustrated. No bleed on the brain everything was encouraging. Transferred to Stepping Hill for therapy and home release.

Left 9 days she was in pain which they ignored. It turned out she had a severe water infection and they had ignored it. Gave her strong antibiotics which side affects included kidney failure.  They never checked water infection had gone. It turned to sepsis. Three lots of antibiotics at once si once and stage 2 kidney failure. All the pain she was in they ignored and made out she was being awkward. The apologies were too late. Left with mouth ulcers bleeding I had to ask for them to take care of her mouth. Then came the news she now had Fasciitis which meant the infection within spread from her top of legs to lower back. My sister died on the 17th August and her funeral was Monday.  It is still a shell shock and I would appreciate prayers. My keyboard broke borrowed my sosn. Been under the hospital myself as you know. Feeling very tired need energy boost but thanking God. Thanks to all who will pray.

So sorry to hear that Sass: make sure you look after yourself now after going through such a difficult time.

Praying, Sass. I know how hard sepsis alone can be to treat - it claimed my mother in the end.
