Photo Blankets
« on: January 24, 2019, 02:27:29 PM »
My children are having a photo blanket designed for their very elderly Mum, as a present for my birthday, yesterday. I was asked to select some photos, 15 in all, to display on the blanket, which I have done. Our eldest girl is sending them off to the company, https://photoblankets.co.uk/ which I had not heard of before. They also do duvet covers and sheets.

I thought people on this forum might be interested as it makes for a gift with a difference.

I suppose that I might have a blanket supporting an image of Marilyn Monroe ... then I could sleep with her every night.   ::) :-\ 8)
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

It's good you're having a blanket rather than a duvet cover because you can use it as a throw over a bed & it will last a long time; a duvet cover would need to be washed regularly which would spoil it sooner rather than later. Nice! Your children are thoughtful.

Happy birthday for a couple of days ago. Hope your injury is well recovered and husband OK.

Thanks Robbie. :) I go to the fracture clinic on Monday afternoon. I am hoping against hope they will say my shoulder is healed well enough for me to drive again.

Thanks. :) I really, really hope I can drive again, I feel so bad about having to rely on mainly our eldest girl when I need taking anywhere, especially as the fracture is down to my own stupidity. >:(

Our eldest girl has just brought round my photo blanket, a birthday pressie from my three lovely daughters, which was constructed in Poland. I am absolutely THRILLED with it. :) :) :)

It is a pity I am unable to display it on this forum.

I googled and looked at some just now and they are quite charming; obviously the pictures weren't of you and yours but I got the drift.  I wouldn't mind a London scene.

Photograph it, upload the photograph to Flickr or some other photo-sharing site, then post the link on here.

Oliphant, I think LR means that she doesn't want pictures of herself and family made public.

LR you don't have to have your daughter driving you everywhere, you can hire a cab.

I had some of my artwork stolen once when I displayed it on a site of that nature, I have been advised not to use them.

I have never hired a taxi in my life, besides which I can now drive, when it is safe to do so once the snow has cleared properly.

Taxis are an essential local service. I could not get about the way I do without them. People say they are expensive, but compare it against the cost of running a car - and it's way down.
