Lots of people, like the clergy and teachers, are using this technology tool 'Zoom' to help them with their video conferencing, services and lessons. However, it appears to have some security issues and is in danger of being hacked by perverts!

I have just come across this, and have warned our vicar daughter and other relatives whom I know use it.

It's an excellent tool and the issues could be avoided if people do their meeting set up to do so.

It’s fine as long as you protect your meetings and only let people in you have invited.

It's the same as a physical meeting. If you don't lock the door then anyone could walk in.

I'm sure that the BBC thinks that on balance religion is good for us, so it follows that if the BBC thinks Zoom is any good at promoting religion the BBC will be promoting Zoom.

I actually have a lot of respect for the BBC, but I can assure you it's not the organisation you seem think it is in some areas Trent.

It's a very well versed organisation in some of the ways it apparently performs its tasks, read Robin Aitken's books.

Yes Trent You're right I can't read minds including yours, that would be why when I wrote that post I took the trouble to include that I actually said: 'it's not the organisation you seem think it is in some areas Trent'. 

I don't agree with most of the papers in general some of them I find particularly annoying, mostly the liberal ones.

I buy a paper once a week on a Saturday, the 'Telegraph', not that I've any particular affection toward its political content however I've always loved a bit of cruelty in humour, note only in humour, and I like the hang em and flog em attitude this paper takes toward transgressors of any law you may like to mention, they are so outrageously aggressive toward people and all sorts of policies I find it amusing even though I rarely agree with things like hanging people that steal anything of a value over £5 etc.

The 'Telegraph' makes me laugh and the cruelty of their outlook in general makes me laugh just as the unrealistic generality of the Guardian above all others really really annoys me.

But there you have your point of view, we obviously don't agree on this one I won't be changing my viewpoint nor I doubt will you that's fair enough, I don't see any good reason to see people that take a differing view in this particular area as enemies.

Oh dear Ippy. I know what you said and it is clear from what you typed that you had formed an opinion of what I thought of the BBC, hence my accusation of your being able to read my mind.

How do you know what I seem to  think it is in some areas if you don't have the power of mind reading?

Do you know what  I think of the sports coverage? Political coverage? Religious output? Entertainment? Website? Radio stations? etc.

Take those areas and tell me what you think I think and I'll let you know if you are correct.

I don't however get this woke thing that's so prevalent at the moment where it seem that if someone/anyone doesn't agree with some of these papers it's no longer a disagreement they seem to say or imply that if you disagree with them you must be a very bad almost an evil person as well.

I'm really not quite sure what you are saying  there.

All I know is that Tony Benn said you should read a newspaper with whose political stance you disagree. That's why I used to read the Telegraph (I don't really read any paper anymore) - that and the fact it had the best sports coverage.
