I initially saw the picture of Andrew Watson on the BBC site and presumed it might be about raising a statue to him but this story is something different, and hugely interesting. Especially so for me, as my ex was half Guyanese and I went there with her a couple of times. Her ancestry though is Indian as the Empire used lots of Indians as clerks and moved them round the world to support the bureaucracy
