Social media and censorship
« on: January 14, 2021, 10:14:14 AM »
While this has been discussed on other threads in relationship to Trump's bans, it looks as if it's going to be a central topic in the future. If Biden does repeal Section 230, then the social media companies are going to be a lot more restrictive than they are now. Indeed I wonder whether they would move to a premod approval process which would significantly increase their costs, and probably drive people off. Twitter seems to me the large social medium with the most problems on this as it's the one where posts are all publiv.
